Your Questions About Dessert Recipes With Strawberries

Susan asks…
Dessert recipe with strawberries?
I bought some fresh strawberries but they aren’t the best. Don’t want to eat them raw, but they should be good for sauce or something. I need a good idea of what to make. I also have some baker’s chocolate.

Strawberry Cobbler!
Ingredients
8 cups frozen strawberries
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 cup flour (I like whole wheat the best)
1 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
7 tablespoons of butter
2/3 cup milk mixed with 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
For the filling:
Mix the 1/4 cup of flour with the berries, the 1 1/4 cup sugar, and the lemon juice directly into a baking dish (I use a 9×13) Let stand while making the topping.
For the topping:
Combine the flour with the baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Mix in the butter, cutting it in with the dry ingredients. (It will be coarse and crumbly) Add the milk with the lemon juice and stir until moist.
Pour dough on top pf the filling mixture to create a top crust. You will probably need to just spoon it out into several globs. Dont worry, it all comes together in the baking process! Bake in your preheated oven for 30 minutes or so, until its lightly browned and bubbly.
Let stand for a few minutes before serving. Tastes wonderful served warm with vanilla ice cream.
